Supervision: Reports to the Engineering Manager
Job Summary: The Engineering Technician III position is an entry-level position that involves a wide range of duties providing technical support for field and office engineering. Assignments involve routine aspects of one or more of the following areas: drafting, data collection, development review, construction inspection, materials inspections, data entry, or other related technical support work. While assignments may be received in specific or general terms, an employee is expected to exercise initiative and judgment in conducting recurring assignments according to established standards, policies, and procedures.
Supervision: Reports to the AMI Foreman and Cross Connection Control Manager
Job Summary: The Meter Tester/Water Loss Specialist will be responsible for identifying, testing, and maintaining the performance of all meters, and performing leak detection surveys using acoustic listening equipment throughout the Authority’s distribution system. This position will involve performing tasks in meter pits and vaults (confined spaces), working in various terrains and weather conditions.
Supervision: Reports to the AMI Foreman and Cross Connection Control Manager
Job Summary: This Utility Locator is responsible for completing all assigned tickets by their scheduled due date. Completing tickets involves accurately locating and marking existing underground utilities, specifically water, sewer, and some electric utilities, taking clear photos of the markings, and entering detailed notes of the locates into the ticket management system. Heavy traffic and inclement weather contribute to the complexity of the position.
This is an entry-level internship position that may result in a full-time role depending on the candidate’s performance and position availability.
Supervision: Reports to the Plant Superintendent
Job Summary: The intern will assist with the oversight of all aspects of Wastewater Treatment Plant operations and the administration of the treatment of wastewater under intense supervision. In addition, the intern will assist in analyzing and testing wastewater samples.
This is an entry-level internship position that may result in a full-time role depending on the candidate’s performance and position availability.
Supervision: Incumbents report to the Plant Superintendent
Job Summary: The Water Quality Intern will assist with the oversight of all aspects of Laboratory and Water Treatment Plant operations and administration of the treatment of potable water under intense supervision. In addition, the intern will assist in analyzing drinking water samples.
